When it comes to coffee culture, Australians have every reason to be proud. It is generally believed that Australia's coffee culture originated from the wave of Greek and Italian immigrants who settled in Melbourne and Sydney after World War II. However, the most popular coffee in Australia—the Flat White (also known as Aussie White, Flat White, or colloquially as 'Little White Coffee')—most likely originated in the remote regions of Queensland, Australia. The origin of the Flat White remains a subject of heated debate! Both Australia and New Zealand claim to have invented the Flat White in the 1980s. The answer has yet to be determined, but it most likely evolved in both countries.
